On paper today’s lick looks simple.
Application is another story.
Today we are working out of a D chord. After a basic frailing strum with a full D chord we add in a little run before going back to a full measure of basic frailing while holding the full D chord.
- Basic frailing
- D chord
- Quarter notes
While the D7 chord is usually chosen for its simplicity and proximity to the G major scale on the fretboard, the full D chord adds a lush and rich quality. Which is best? That is up to you!
