  1. Hey Patrick, Good job. Good luck on the Dr Appt. I do a thing called daily.
A bit old about like Dear Ol’ Dad and I still keep it going. Been at the banjo thing just over a month and having a great time. A bit worried about the drive up to Maryland from Florida. Do you have anybody that you know that’s driving up from Florida for the festivities?

Where do I find the lick notes you were using today moving from the first, to the second and then the third fret?

I can almost figure it out but it goes a bit fast.

    All the best,
Check out Johns Hopkins if you haven’t for your head aches.

  2. How did the medical appointment go? Hope all works out well.

I am making some headway with the splitting of the strum thumb note.

I think I was counting 1, 2, 3, 4 making the thumb the fourth count. Then when I would blend in to you playing faster it just would not fit. Seemed to fit fine slow, but I couldn’t tell if I was splitting that little bit of time or the thumb was just following the strum. I have been going real slow and trying to hear the strum and the thumb at the same note count just the front of the second and back of the second note and the note first, split second, note third, split fourth.

Can I, like send you a text video of a short strum so you can tell if I am splitting hairs, or splitting notes. So I am actually hearing 1, 2, 1, 2, or 1,2,3,4, 1,2,3,4 and the two and four are split by strum and thumb.

I would appreciate any analysis. Thanks,
