Thanksgiving Dinner – Live!

We will be setting a place at our table and setting up our camera so that you can take part in our Thanksgiving dinner.

To tune in, just head to our YouTube channel on Thursday, November 22 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.

Why are we doing this? Well, 2018 has not been an easy year for me. Health issues, the death of a dear friend and the death of my wife turned my whole world upside-down. As the holiday season crept closer I became painfully aware that there are a lot of people who will be feeling lonely on Thanksgiving. Setting a place at the table and offering people the opportunity to tune in to the kitchen sounds and conversation struck me as a way to spread a little bit of sunshine.

If you haven’t met my family yet my mom’s latest video is a good introduction:

I hope you will tune in this Thanksgiving!

God bless,
-Patrick

  1. Dear Costello Family!
Miss Trudy, Dear old Dad, Patrick, Pooka and the little dog XY?

First of all Happy Thanksgiving! And thank you so much for all your videos. Some weeks ago I bought a 5-Stringer. Searching the net, Patrick`s explanations helped me a lot to stumble my first steps into banjoplaying.

Here in little Switzerland, I am not so familiar with the Country-Songs in the USA. It is great fun for me to search about all these songs. Pete Seeger, Rhiannon Giddens and Abigail Washburn – so many great singer/songwriter and Banjoplayer!

But the Costello-Way is extra! To combine playing the Banjo, baking Cranberry Orange Bread and get familiar with all members of the household is really unique. Thank you!

A little hint about CARAN D`ACHE:
Patrick, you mentioned your pencil-sharpener with this name. This is a brand of a Swiss Pencil-Factory, colors or just for writing.

I tried out the recipe for the Cranberry Orange Bread and it has become a favorite at once!

Once again, thank you so much, have a wonderful Thanksgiving, stay healthy and enjoy life!

    André
