Mom’s birthday is coming up. Like me, mom prefers gifts that can be shared.
This year, I got word that Termini Brothers Bakery in South Philadelphia was offering a kit to assemble their famous Zeppole for a limited time before St. Joseph’s Day. We have never had the treat, and father and I, while being Irish, share the first name Joseph, and we like doughnuts. It sounded like a perfect fit. I ordered a kit for mom, and another for her cousin in California.
Mom’s kit arrived today. Dad put a Zeppole together for us to share, and the rest will be shared at church tomorrow.
Mom’s birthday is still a few days off, but this was a sweet way to celebrate early.
